LAS VEGAS, NV – After a tough campaign in the Nevada gubernatorial race, Sheriff Joe Lombardo has defeated incumbent Governor Sisolak. Nevada Values PAC invested in an aggressive seven-figure statewide program for this crucial race, conducting innovative research on effective, values-based messaging to gauge what moves Nevada voters. That research was then used to craft targeted digital advertising to inform Nevadans about the best leader for Nevada. Former State Senator Patricia Farley, President of the Nevada Values PAC released the following statement:

“Nevada voters have decided. We are disappointed that Steve Sisolak was not re-elected to serve another four years as Nevada’s governor. Governor Steve Sisolak proved he was willing to put the lives of Nevadans ahead of politics, party, or profits. Governor Sisolak effectively navigated the pandemic, saving untold numbers of lives while allowing our economy to bounce back stronger than it was prior to COVID-19. We invested in this program to ensure the people of Nevada are given the information they need to make an informed decision at the polls – sadly, it wasn’t enough to overcome the attacks and rhetoric from those opposing him. Despite the results not being what we had hoped for, we give thanks for the hard work of our election workers to count each eligible vote accurately. We support the peaceful transition of power and congratulate Joe Lombardo on his campaign and victory. It is a shame that Joe Lombardo was able to court the dangerous MAGA Republican faction by indulging in election denialism and accepting support from the disgraced former president, even as more details continue to emerge about the criminal conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election. We hope that in assuming office next year, Lombardo will return to principles of fair-mindedness and bipartisanship in working with his colleagues and constituents during the upcoming legislative session. We intend to hold him accountable throughout his term for building an economy and state that functions for all Nevadans.”
